The Department of Biochemistry is part of the Faculty of Biology and Medicine and offers an outstanding environment for a successful postdoctoral career. The research campus is located in Epalinges (north of Lausanne), and is part of the Center of Immunity and Infection (CIIL) that also includes the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (LICR) and several groups of the Lausanne University Hospital CHUV. The research focus is on Cell biology, Immunology and Cancer.

We are seeking an outstanding and highly motivated candidate to join our studies on the molecular mechanisms of inflammation. The studies will focus on the mechanisms of sterile inflammation upon disruption of cellular integrity.
The successful applicant should have or soon have a PhD degree. A background in studying innate immunity pathways such as the inflammasome would be a plus. A good knowledge in bioinformatics would also be of interest. Furthermore, the candidate should be self-driven, be able to develop projects independently and evolve in a team environment. Good communication skills in English are essential.
The Biochemistry Department offers an exciting and enthusiastic work environment with excellent infrastructure, including core facilities for imaging, FACS, proteomics and animal experimentation and a strong national and international collaboration network. The successful candidate will benefit from daily interactions with highly accomplished scientists with whom she/he will collaborate.
