Postdoc in Quantum Technology to Study Entanglement in Quantum Circuits

Job description

The successful candidate will work to make a quantum-limited force sensor for scanning probe microscopy. The work will involve nanofabrication, cryogenic microwave measurements, and system integration of the force sensor with a scanning apparatus. Your work will primarily be at KTH in the laboratory run by Prof. David Haviland.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • A doctoral degree in physics or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made;
  • Experience with experimental physics and a desire to learn new techniques;
  • Research expertise;
  • Collaborative abilities;
  • Independence.

Preferred qualifications:

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline;
  • Previous experience with microwave technology and low-temperature measurement;
  • Teaching abilities;
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality.
