An opportunity for an exceptional researcher with experience in advanced characterisation of new solid-state inorganic materials to join a multi-disciplinary team working on materials discovery. We welcome applications from ambitious researchers with the skills to contribute to the project across chemistry, physics and materials science.
This position forms part of an interdisciplinary team working with experimental and computer scientists as part of the Leverhulme Centre for Functional Materials Design, which aims to change the way in which new functional materials are discovered. The environment will facilitate the development of new skills and the demonstration of creativity and leadership.
Expertise in structure solution using powder x-ray diffraction-based techniques or electron microscopy methods is essential for the role, and candidates should make their relevant experience clear in their application.
You will have a PhD in Chemistry, Physics or Materials Science.
