Carbon Finance is disconnected with emissions reduction and sequestration measures and huge investments, technologies and methods are mandatory to reach global Carbon Neutrality objectives and keep Climate Change under the 1.5°C threshold set by the Paris Agreements.
Everimpact is a purpose driven company on a mission to protect our planet. We are a fast growing ClimateTech startup on a mission to make it easier for cities and businesses to measure their greenhouse gas emissions, identify opportunities to reduce their footprint, and finance needed investments. Long story short, our Climate Justice Engine combines satellite data, ground sensors, and AI into a SaaS platform to establish cities and businesses' carbon footprint. As a result, clients can identify reduction opportunities and access financing for their climate investments.
Everimpact has been selected by Google for its Startups’ first Accelerator program on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and recently won Shell’s New Energy challenge. It is working with several partners to deploy large scale and high impact projects starting with cities and the shipping industry. You will work closely with our customers and partners, large corporations such as EDF, British Telecom, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Mitsui OSK Lines, Wilhelmsen, etc. Everimpact’s investors include international organizations such as the European Commission, the Asian Development Bank, Impact Investors, and several shipping VCs.
Within the technical pole, take the responsibility of Data Science practice, to ensure that the company’s digital services and products meet Everimpact’s customers expectations. Under the direct CTO and CPO supervision, you will navigate across several projects and product developments, collaborating with Developers and Project Managers. You will extract, analyze and interpret large amounts of data from a range of sources, using algorithms, data mining, artificial intelligence, machine learning and statistical tools, in order to make it accessible to businesses. Once you've interpreted the data you'll present your results using clear and engaging language. You must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products.
Degree in Geospatial Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. A secondary expertise field, such as remote sensing, forest management or agronomy, and GHG atmospheric dispersion is definitely a plus!
Previous experience as a data scientist or in a similar role. Strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations.
Strong experience of programming languages like Python and R is mandatory. Hands-on experience with satellite imagery databases and cloud services (AWS, GCP…) designs. Great numerical and analytical skills.
Must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision. Fluent in English. French is a plus.

You will be a multi-tasker capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects. You are a proactive and a fast learner. You enjoy working in an international team and are comfortable in client-facing roles. You work well with different digital tools, in a full remote manner.
