A position is available for a highly motivated Postdoc in the Laboratory of Cancer Epigenetics headed by Prof. François Fuks (ULB-University of Brussels, Belgium).
You will be expected to conduct epigenetics and epigenomics cancer research. Specifically, you will investigate the mechanisms and functions of novel epigenetic modifications highlighted by our laboratory (e.g. Delatte et al., Science 2016). Genetic, biochemical, biological and genome-wide approaches (e.g. RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, Infinium Methylation) will be applied. The lab runs a Next-Gen Sequencing platform (EPICS), and is part of the ULB-Cancer Research Center (U-CRC), providing a high profile scientific environment.
Applicants should hold a PhD (or have submitted their thesis with their defence/viva scheduled) in a relevant discipline such as Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry and have published (or about to publish) in a peer-reviewed journal. The Postdoc is expected to work both independently and as part of a team, and to have excellent communication and critical thinking skills. Experience in epigenetics/epigenomics is an asset. This position is funded for 3 years.
Screening of applications begins immediately and continues until an outstanding candidate is selected. Skype interviews are possible for candidates outside Belgium. Flexible starting date.
