Desired Expertise

  • Core Expertise: An advanced degree in Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Imaging Specialization: Strong theoretical and practical background in noninvasive cardiac imaging. While we cover the full spectrum including echo, CT, and nuclear cardiology, the primary focus of this role is Cardiac MRI. Applicants must possess solid knowledge and hands-on experience with CMR principles, clinical applications, and safety protocols.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent level of English. As we are actively involved in international research grants, you must be capable of not only reading and writing academic texts but also communicating effectively in professional and collaborative settings.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MATLAB is highly desirable for data processing and analysis.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, a proactive approach to scientific problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Cardiac MR Research: Lead and participate in research projects focused on cardiac imaging, mainly Cardiac MRI, including the development and optimization of new imaging protocols and clinical applications.
  • Data Analysis & Processing: Utilize MATLAB to develop scripts and pipelines for the processing, analysis, and interpretation of complex imaging data across various imaging modalities.
  • Scientific Output: Author and co-author high-quality scientific publications and contribute to the preparation of national and international grant applications and progress reports.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with a diverse team of physicians, engineers, and technicians to bridge the gap between technical development and clinical practice.
  • Clinical Integration: Ensure that research activities adhere to the highest standards of safety and clinical relevance, bridging the gap between theoretical research and patient care.
  • International Networking: Actively represent our team within international research collaborations and consortiums, participating in project meetings and technical workshops.
