You will lead the day-to-day operations of the platform, including scheduling, quality control, processing and analyses across label-free, TMT, and SILAC-based proteomics and phosphoproteomics, and other MS-omics workflows
You will co-develop and implement new workflows and analysis methods to increase throughput, quality, quantitation and reproducibility
You maintain mass spectrometry instruments at the highest performance standards and manage service contracts as well as consumables.
You advise on and support the procurement of future equipment and contribute to grant applications for infrastructure funding.
You actively contribute to research projects, from experimental planning and data interpretation through to manuscript writing.
Your profile
We are looking for a qualified team player with a strong interest in cutting-edge science and a service-oriented mindset.
Required:
Expert (MSc or PhD) in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related field - with a strong mass spectrometry track record
Hands-on expertise with high-resolution LC-MS platforms, ideally including Bruker-based instruments
Demonstrated ability to develop and optimize analytical methods from first principles
Ability to communicate clearly with coworkers, scientists and principal investigators
Preferred:
Strong interest in or experience with single-cell and/or spatial mass spectrometry technologies
Experience running or co-running a core or research facility is a strong plus, not a prerequisite
Fluent in English; German is an asset but not required
