However, other topics in the broader area of theoretical computer science with a focus on algorithms are also possible. In teaching, the professorship is expected to contribute in particular to theoretical computer science courses in the department’s Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs. The position has a teaching load of four hours per week prior to interim evaluation, and six hours thereafter.
Required qualifications include an outstanding doctorate in a pertinent field, international publications, evidence of third-party grants (fellowship/scholarship) as well as teaching experience. The appointment prerequisites of § 51 LHG apply.
