Postdoctoral Position to Explore the Molecular Mechanisms of Myelodysplastic Syndrome

A postdoctoral position is available at the IEO Department of Experimental Oncology in Milan, in the team of Serena Ghisletti.

Research Project

We are looking for a highly motivated PostDoc to explore the molecular mechanisms of myelodysplastic syndrome, building on our recent findings (Vallelonga, Gandolfi et al., Blood 2026).

This project leverages cutting-edge single-cell and epigenomic NGS technologies (such as scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, and ChIP-seq) to analyze patient-derived MDS samples.

Candidate Profile

  • PhD in fields related to Molecular biology, Molecular Medicine, Cancer biology, Biotechnology, Genetics or related area;
  • Proficiency in advanced biochemical, molecular and cell biology techniques;
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaborative skills;
  • Highly self-motivated researcher with strong scientific curiosity, proactive in developing and advancing independent research projects;
  • Proficiency in English for speaking and writing.
