Overview

The Biomedicine Institute of Valencia (IBV-CSIC) invites applications for a permanent Distinguished Researcher position in the fields of:

Immunology, AI and computational biology applied to biomedicine, cell identity, plasticity and disease mechanisms. We are seeking senior investigators with an outstanding track record, international experience, and strong leadership potential.

About IBV

The Instituto de Biomedicina de Valencia (IBV) is a leading research centre of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), focused on understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying human disease.

IBV promotes multidisciplinary research, integrating:

Genetics and genomics, Cell and molecular biology, Structural biology, Computational and systems biology, Research Environment.

IBV is part of a thriving biomedical ecosystem in Valencia, including:

University of Valencia Universitat Politècnica de València FISABIO, IIS La Fe, INCLIVA CSIC institutes and the Príncipe Felipe Research Center. This environment enables strong translational and interdisciplinary collaborations, bridging basic and clinical research.

Position Details

Successful candidates will:

Establish independent and internationally competitive research programmes, secure external funding, lead innovative and collaborative research lines. Positions are funded through the ValER Programme: https://call.valer-f.es/.

Salary & Support

Gross annual salary: ~€80,000
Start-up funding: €150,000
Relocation support: €5,000 Eligibility Criteria.

Applicants of any nationality must demonstrate:

≥10 years of postdoctoral research experience, outstanding publication record, strong international research background, proven leadership and independence.
