Are you interested in research and working with plant biomass? We are now looking for a motivated co-worker to a team that is passionate about plant resources for materials engineering.
Your role and goals
The postdoctoral researcher will be working in a project focused on plant biomass hemicellulose, lignin and middle lamella components solutions. The fundamental questions revolve around component miscibility. The ambition is to translate this knowledge into resolving challenges in forest biomass processing and in materials design. The aim for the postdoctoral researcher is to develop or deepen the existing skills in that area. The position is available immediately.
Your experience and ambitions
The candidate is expected to have:
- Recently obtained PhD or doctoral degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer chemistry, polymer physics, forest products, or similar;
- Good written and oral communication skills in English;
- Interest in working in the laboratory, carrying out experiments, measurements, and data analysis or simulations;
- A successful candidate has demonstrated experience in evaluating polymer solubility.
