We are looking for a Senior Scientist with technical expertise in Chemosensory Perception and Affective Neuroscience. This role will focus on advancing our understanding of the impact of fragrances on human emotion, wellbeing, and health. The successful candidate will contribute to innovative research projects, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate rigorous science into actionable insights for fragrance innovation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and oversee a broad range of psychophysiological and behavioral studies including EEG, fMRI, peripheral physiology, reaction times, and ratings to probe wellbeing benefits of fragrances;
  • Analyze and interpret behavioral, physiological, and neuroimaging data using advanced statistical and computational approaches;
  • Present results and ideas to peers and business partners; produce high-quality lab reports, manuscripts and patents;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into product development and innovation strategies;
  • Identify cutting-edge research methods to drive innovative research in affective neuroscience;
  • Manage external collaborations and liaise with internal and external partners;
  • Contribute to the evolution of methodological standards and best practices in olfactory and affective neuroscience within the organization;

You Bring:

  • Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related field;
  • 5-10 years of post-gradual research experience in chemoperception and cognition with a proven track record of scientific publications;
  • Proficiency in behavioral and psychophysiological research methods (e.g., reaction times, E/MEG, fMRI, peripheral physiology) and advanced statistical analysis;
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting language (e.g., R, Python, Matlab);
  • Fluency in English;
  • Excellent communication and organization skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic Environment;
