REQUIREMENTS:
doctoral degree in Forestry, Natural sciences and similar;
habilitation according to the rules of University of Ljubljana (UL) (Assistant Professor /Associate Professor / Full Professor) in Forest Technique and Forest Work (or similar) or prove of fulfilment of requirements with a statement that such a habilitation is envisaged;
the candidate fulfils the condition if he / she has a valid UL title or the valid title of the Guest teacher at UL. If, at the time of application, the candidate does not have an election to the abovementioned titles, but he / she meets the qualitative and quantitative conditions for election to these titles, he/she can apply for the job vacancy, in which case, together with the application, he / she shall also provide evidence of compliance with the above criteria, accompanied by a statement, in the event of a decision by the selection committee, the application shall also be considered as an application for election to the title or for the recognition of the equivalence of the title;
communication/rhetorical skills, innovativeness, ability to organize one’s own work as well as the work of other employees;
proficiency in English and knowledge of the Slovenian language at the B2 level in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Candidates who do not meet this requirement at the time of appointment must fulfill it within three years of employment.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
designing and updating curricula and adapting university and higher education study programmes to specific requirements;
organising or co-organising all course-related activities in accordance with the curriculum and the findings of the profession, coordinating the work and supervising the work of other course staff (teaching assistants, technicians, etc.);
lecturing, conducting seminars and other pedagogical activities related to the course at all study programmes;
directing research work and student activities, mentoring students supervising theses;
research and development work in the field of forest engineering and forest work science (or similar fields).
