As a Scientist II within Process Development, you play a key role in translating cutting-edge cell therapy concepts into robust and scalable manufacturing processes. Working at the interface of science and manufacturing, you design and execute complex studies, interpret data and contribute to the development of next-generation therapies. You will collaborate closely with clients and internal experts to bring innovative processes from early-stage development into GMP manufacturing.

What you will do

  • Design and execute complex process development studies for cell-based therapies.
  • Lead or contribute to process optimization, scale-up and technology transfer activities.
  • Translate scientific concepts into robust, scalable and GMP-ready processes.
  • Analyze and interpret data to drive process understanding and performance improvements.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including protocols, reports and SOPs.
  • Present findings and interact with clients, contributing to technical discussions and project direction.
  • Support knowledge transfer and training across development and manufacturing teams.

What we are looking for

  • Master’s or PhD in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or a related field.
  • Experience in Cell & Gene Therapy, stem cell biology or related fields, gained in industry or academia.
  • Strong expertise in cell culture systems (e.g. iPSC, stem cells or mammalian cell processes).
  • Proven ability in experimental design, data analysis and scientific problem solving.
  • Experience with or exposure to process development, scale-up or tech transfer.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and the ability to operate in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
