What you will do

  • Your mission will be to understand the needs, define and follow up on customer specific projects. You will generate project proposals and execute bilateral and internal innovation projects from inception to delivery in agreement with customer request from the perspective of target timings, deliverables and costs.
  • You will be the preferred contact point between the customer, business development and the technical teams.
  • You will generate the overall High Level Plans and align with the different expertise centers for all resource requirements.
  • For each of the multiple projects in execution in your portfolio, you will report on status and progress both internally and externally.
  • You will drive the projects to be completed within time, costs and scope agreements. Your strong management skills will steer you to solve issues and only escalate adequately.
  • You are familiar with Si and SiN Photonics integration schemes & components and are experienced in discussing technical issues with the engineering teams, whilst at the same time capable of representing the team towards senior management.
  • You keep your level of scientific know-how up to date and benchmark imec’s expertise and performance in your domain with the rest of the world.
  • You will be part of the IC-Link sector PMO, focusing on projects leveraging imec developed technologies. You will interact daily with design engineers, process engineers, test and reliability engineers. Good communication and interaction with the supporting horizontals expertise centers is a major requirement for this job.
  • You will represent imec in contacts with third parties and representatives for semiconductor players from around the globe for matters that relate to your field of expertise.
  • You will operate from imec’s HQ located close to Brussels in the heart of Europe.

Who you are

  • You have obtained a PhD or Master degree in Physics or electrical engineering.
  • You have >5 years experience in a semiconductor environment. A background in Silicon Photonics is a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of optical test, electrical test and failure analysis is a significant asset.
  • You have experience in presenting scientific results (publications, conferences, seminars).
  • You are an enthusiastic team player with project management capabilities and show high level of initiative taking.
  • You have excellent English communication skills.
  • You are willing to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
