Job description

The engineer will be participating in a funded research project focused on a new regulator in obesity and diabetes.

Main Activities

• Define the coherent set of biological techniques required for the experimental execution of the project;
• Process the data (analyze, interpret, and validate the results);
• Main techniques to be performed: cell culture, western blot, RT-qPCR, cell signaling, confocal microscopy, histology.

Expertise

• Expertise in cell biology, mammalian cell culture, physiology.

Know-how

• Experience in analysis of gene expression by RT-qPCR, detection of protein by western-blot and by immunofluorescence;
• Experience in microscopy imaging (confocal);
• Experience in basic mouse experimentation is not required but would be appreciated;
• Experience in primary culture of adipocytes would be appreciated.

Ability

• Analytical reasoning;
• Good organization;
• Collaboration with other laboratory members.

Experience(s) required

• 1 year of experience in research lab would be appreciated.

Diploma level and training

• Master 2, Engineer Diploma in biological sciences.
