  • Pioneering work at the intersection of AI and robotics: You develop and implement novel AI algorithms for robotic systems – focusing on foundation models that go beyond current Vision-Language-Action approaches;
  • Multimodal physical AI: You explore how robots can perceive, reason, and act intelligently in complex, dynamic environments;
  • Training & Fine-tuning: You take foundation models to the next level – tailored for robotics applications;
  • Hands-on robotics: You collaborate closely with other engineers to rethink and build robotic systems, turning them into a new generation of intelligent machines with AI;
  • System integration: You bring AI models directly into the hardware and software of our robots – for genuine cognitive behavior.

What we can look forward to

  • An excellent Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Informatics, Robotics, Physics, or a related field;
  • A proven track record: Your projects show measurable impact;
  • The desire to go beyond the state of the art – you don’t just want to improve, you want to create something new;
  • At least 3 years of experience in Deep Learning/Generative AI for robotics;
  • Strong programming skills in Python and C++;
  • Expertise in frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch;
  • Experience with multimodal perception, object recognition, scene interpretation, subtask and path planning;
  • Team spirit, initiative, and the ability and willingness to explore new paths;
  • Excellent English skills; German is optional but welcome.
