Your tasks

  • Organisational tasks for the Nanodiag BW project
  • Provision of methods and workflows in proteomic analysis
  • Development of new methods for sample preparation, chromatographic analysis, LC-MS data acquisition and data interpretation, with a focus on histone analysis

Your qualifications

  • Academic degree and PhD in life science, specialising in biotechnology, analytical chemistry, biochemistry and protein analytics (proteomics) or a related field

Skills in:

  • MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop or similar image processing software
  • Basic knowledge and practical experience in the operation of high-resolution mass spectrometers (preferably Orbitrap or timsTOF instruments), in the operation and maintenance of (MS-coupled) nano(U)HPLC chromatography systems as well as in the analysis of LC-MS data
  • Basic knowledge of a programming language and experience in epigenetics research is an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of molecular cell biology (cell culture, Western blot), of protein biochemistry and chromatography (in particular affinity purification using antibodies) or of bioinformatics (programming skills, R or Python, statistics, analysis of complex datasets)
  • Ability to work independently and to take initiative, as well as teamwork skills
  • German language skills at B1 level are an advantage (networking with Nanodiag BW project partners)
  • Fluent spoken and written English
