The Medical University of Vienna is one of Europe’s premiere institutions for biomedical and clinical research. We are looking for a highly qualified scientist in the field of neuroscience and metabolism with enthusiasm for inter- and multidisciplinary research, and commitment to teaching.
The candidate is expected to have an outstanding expertise in rare disease research with focus on neurometabolic disorders and to strengthen, expand and cross-link existing research cluster topics within the University’s Medical Neuroscience Cluster.
Your profile:
- Qualification as a specialist in paediatrics and adolescent medicine with a focus on metabolism and/or equivalent domestic and foreign qualifications;
- Outstanding scientific qualifications in the field of neuroscience and metabolism, particularly in the area of very rare neurometabolic disorders;
- Completed scientific or medical education with PhD or equivalent degree;
- International recognition in the respective research area;
- Successful and continuous acquisition of peer-reviewed third-party funding;
- Educational and didactic qualifications including supervision of Masters and PhD students;
- Diversity and gender competence;
- International working experience.
