Job Description

As a Material Scientist you will be supporting the client in both Manufacturing and R&D efforts by conducting analysis and characterization of the samples generated.

Job Responsibilities that you be covering:

  • You will understand and demonstrate experience in a range of materials characterisation techniques able to bring understanding of API, drug product intermediates and finished drug product;
  • You will be able to demonstrate understanding of root cause analysis methodologies and understanding in the analyses required in the formulation of amorphous dispersions;
  • You will support in the design of protocols and experimental work;
  • You will be familiar with electronic lab notebooks and ALCOA principles for the recording of data;
  • You will write or constructively review SOP’s, Protocols, technical reports, risk assessments as required. To collect and measure productivity through agreed metrics such as number of tests performed, cycle times, lab/product issues, number of hours worked per project, etc.;
  • You will prepare and approve results for tests in which they have received the appropriate training and are deemed competent.

Qualifications

What skills, qualifications and experiences you will hold as an Material Scientist:

  • You will hold a degree in Chemistry or a related discipline is required;
  • You will possess a sound, fundamental knowledge and practical application of Organic Chemistry to pharmaceutical drug design is essential;
  • You will have relevant experience of Material Science and analytical tools and techniques within a group organisation;
  • Yoi will hold a good foundation of experience with traditional analytical techniques as well as modern instrumental equipment (e.g., Particle size, PXRD, DSC, TGA). Must possess sound knowledge of analysis methods and tools.
