We are seeking a motivated Scientist II to join our High-Throughput Screening team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine biochemical and cell-based screening assays in a fast-paced, automation-driven CRO environment. This is a hands-on laboratory role supporting multiple drug discovery projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute routine biochemical and cell-based screening in 384- and 1536-well formats;
  • Prepare reagents, plates, controls and other assay components required for HTS campaigns;
  • Convert assays into HTS format, including miniaturization to 384-well and 1536-well format;
  • Perform plate QC checks, monitor assay performance, and ensure compliance with HTS quality criteria (Z’, %CV, S/B, drift);
  • Contribute to assay design and implementation of the key in vitro pharmacology experiments for low-throughput compound profiling (efficacy, selectivity, mechanism of action);
  • Perform HT screens and hit identification;
  • Perform statistical analysis, reporting, and critical data evaluation to support internal drug discovery projects;
  • Maintain high standards of documentation in the electronic lab notebook;
  • Ensure all tasks and responsibilities are performed according to industry-leading scientific and ethical standards and accurately documented in the lab electronic notebook (ELN) system;
  • Good knowledge of flow cytometry will be an advantage.

Your Background

  • MSc in pharmacology, molecular biology, biotechnology or related discipline with minimum of 2 years’ experience in a biotech/pharma setting or Ph.D. in relevant biological sciences;
  • Good knowledge of in vitro pharmacology concepts, with a strong focus on at least one of the following areas: intracellular signaling, cancer metabolism, immunology, or CNS;
  • Experience working with cell lines and cell-based assays in microplate format;
  • Basic understanding of assay performance metrics and data analysis;
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established protocols;
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented, dynamic environment;
  • Strong scientific presentation and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English.
