The advertised position is part of a larger research initiative on the introduction of energy communities in Sweden. The research will focus on possibilities and risks with the implementation of energy communities in the Swedish energy system context. The research is partly technical and partly interdisciplinary and thus includes researchers from several different disciplines (including engineers, political scientists and lawyers). In addition, some sub-projects in the research are in collaboration with the business community and include representatives of energy companies, the real estate sector and the logistics industry. The research includes energy system modeling, case studies, actor studies and organizational studies. Teaching in courses in energy systems may be included in the position.
PhD degree in energy systems or equivalent, preferably with a focus on local heating and electricity supply and energy efficiency in buildings. Other requirements are experience in mathematical calculations and simulations and good knowledge of programming, e.g. in Python.
Experience as a postdoctoral fellow in a related field is meriting.
