Your mission

• Contribution to multidisciplinary teams with own scientific expertise to achieve corporate and customer goals of challenging drug discovery projects;
• Independent planning and execution of research projects within the field of membrane proteins (GPCRs, ion-channels, transporters) and challenging soluble proteins;
• Evaluation of new technology and/or equipment to constantly improve the membrane protein platform;
• Preparation of all relevant project documentation (i.e. project plans, SOPs, scientific presentations, technical reports);
• Presentation of the scientific results as well as convincing and confident communication of the content to colleagues, customers, and business partners.

Your profile

• PhD in biochemistry or related field with an excellent proven track record;
• Strong acquaintance with regard to structure-based construct design, expression and purification of membrane proteins and soluble proteins;
• Profound knowledge in structural biology, e.g. Xray and/or cryoEM;
• Hands-on experience in expression and purification of membrane and soluble proteins in bacterial, insect and/or mammalian cells for structural and biophysical applications;
• Hands-on mentality with a problem-solving mindset and attention to details;
• Independent, service-oriented way of working, with an outstanding team spirit and excellent organization and communication skills.
