The science-dialog manager acts at the interface between TERRA researchers, other large-scale research initiatives, and the public-relations and public-engagement team to enhance the visibility of the Cluster of Excellence. This includes the following responsibilities:

  • Network building between TERRA and other large-scale research initiatives,
  • Organizing activities and events of the national platform on Earth System Science,
  • Coordinating and contributing to TERRA’s input to national and international syntheses (e.g., academy-of-science, IPBES, and IPCC reports),
  • Supporting TERRA’s public-relations officer and the TERRA FutureLab in public-engagement and - dialog activities.

We offer the opportunity for the funding of an upgrade to a 100% position for an integrative TERRA-related research project for two years. This is available on request and requires a one-page project outline.

Candidates should have completed a PhD in a TERRA-related discipline, have a proactive, structured, well-organized work style, and must be able to communicate fluently in English (at least C1).
