Associate Scientist, Colloid Chemistry

The selected candidate will join the Formulations & Materials Science department of our Sciences & Research unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing novel eco-friendly Fragrance delivery systems within multidisciplinary innovation environment;
• Participating to the evaluation and optimization of the performance of fragrance delivery systems in applications by applying modern principles of soft matter physics;
• Study impact of formulation parameters on product stability as well as fragrance delivery systems performance;
• Building networks with internal and external partners;
• Work in an interdisciplinary team with links to physical chemistry, formulation science, analytical chemistry and perfumery technical development;
• Design, plan and execute experiments, ensuring timely delivery based on established priorities;
• Contributing to generation of new intellectual property.

You Bring:

• Master’s degree in Colloid Chemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Formulation Engineer, or equivalent;
• Understanding of colloid chemistry, emulsion/interfacial polymerization, encapsulation and relevant characterization techniques;
• Experience with formulation and characterization of various application formats in the field of body and/or homecare products;
• Experience in analytical chemistry (e.g. GPC, HPLC, GCMS);
• Ability to work and communicate efficiently in a multidisciplinary and international environment;
• Previous experience on applied projects or in an industry R&D laboratory;
• Fluent in English, ability to communicate in French would be a plus.
