Position

As our new Professor/Associate Professor (Tenure Track) of Biopharmacy, you will be working in the School of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Health Sciences. The position is located in Kuopio, Finland.

The post of Professor will be filled until further notice as from 1 August 2026. In the case of an Associate Professor (Tenure Track), the post will be filled for a four-year term starting on 1 August 2026. The position is filled for a fixed term due to it being a Tenure Track position.

The duties of the Professor/Associate Professor of Biopharmacy include:

• Biopharmaceutical research relevant to drug development;
• Leading and supervising research activities, and securing external research funding;
• Planning, development, supervision and implementation of Bachelor’s and Master’s level biopharmaceutical education;
• Responsibility for scientific postgraduate education;
• Other departmental duties.

Requirements

• a doctoral degree in a relevant field;
• experience in the management of and working in research projects;
• demonstrated achievements in the acquisition of research funding and in international activities;
• excellent written and spoken language skills in English;
• experience in teaching and supervision.
