You will

  • Employ new computational strategies to decode distuption of cellular identity in human diseases;
  • Analyze bulk, single-cell, spatial and multi-omics datasets;
  • Lead projects on gene regulatory mechanisms that contribute to the development and disease;
  • Support research and development activities within the group;
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of research activities;
  • Support the group leader in everyday routines including training new group members;
  • Support the group leader in grant applications and management;
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners;
  • Engage in teaching as required.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Bio-engineering, or equivalent;
  • Excellent track record in Bioinformatics with at least one first-author publication, accepted or submitted;
  • Experience with machine learning is a plus (e.g., Tensorflow/Keras/PyTorch);
  • Experience with software containers and/or NextFlow is a plus;
  • Programming experience is required (Python, R);
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and record-keeping skills;
  • Interest in working in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team;
  • Willing to collaborate with internal and external collaborators as well as support group members;
  • Experience and interest in teaching.
