Do you want to work with cutting edge membrane and filtration technology? And do you see yourself as a team player who is strong in collaboration? If yes, we look forward to reading your application to our position as Postdoc.
At the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Department of Chemistry and Bioscience, a position as Postdoc in membrane manufacturing and membrane processes is open for appointments from 15 January 2026 or soon hereafter. The position is for 2 years.
The project is about membrane distillation using waste heat for hydrogen production. We are aiming to produce a pilot site for this. Therefore, the task of this postdoc will be to upscale membrane production to achieve appropriately sized membranes. The membranes may be changed therefore the postdoc will also be charged with developing improved membranes for this purpose. Thereafter, the postdoc is going to develop the pilot plant where the membranes with modules need to be installed, the pilot plant is also expected to include hardware which responds to our own proprietary software. There will also be some logistics which need to be handled and therefore the postdoc is expected to be mobile to some degree.
The job will consist of both synthesis and system development together with software development for automation of both. It is expected that the outcome will be pilot size, you will therefore need to manufacture a considerable number of membranes and develop an upscaled manufacturing system, be able to produce and operate systems larger than lab systems with appropriate knowledge of hardware incorporation and programming. We seek a team player who will engage in team activities as well as professional obligations.
