The aim of the project is to understand the role of the second messenger c-di-GMP in E. coli bacteriophage infection and propagation and to investigate mechanisms that allow the host to escape phage killing by modulating its own signal transduction pathways. You will be working in a dynamic team of researchers with broad expertise in molecular biology, microbiology and infection biology and you will be interacting with researcher from neighboring disciplines like structural biology or computational biology.
You have a PhD in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or related fields with research experience in any of these areas. You are highly motivated, organized, and flexible. You have good communication skills and you are able to work both independently and in a team with other researchers.
