What to expect:
- Planning and conducting feeding and respiration chamber experiments with black soldier fly larvae and broiler chickens and performing feed and lab analyses;
- Conducting feed and laboratory analyses;
- Development of a database for non-edible plant biomass in a European network;
- Data analysis, statistical evaluation;
- Writing manuscripts for peer-reviewed international journals;
- Involvement in an European project;
- Supervision of Master and Bachelor students.
What to bring:
- Graduation and doctorate in animal science/agricultural science/veterinary medicine/biology (zoology) or comparable;
- Knowledge about farmed animal physiology, nutrition or feed science and hands-on experience in insect biology or poultry science;
- Practical experience in laboratory analysis;
- Experience in statistical data analysis, as well as in preparing scientific publications and reports;
- Very good publication record/Initial experience in acquiring third-party funding;
- National and international networking in the field of farm animal physiology and nutrition;
- Commitment and team spirit.
