What to expect:

  • Planning and conducting feeding and respiration chamber experiments with black soldier fly larvae and broiler chickens and performing feed and lab analyses;
  • Conducting feed and laboratory analyses;
  • Development of a database for non-edible plant biomass in a European network;
  • Data analysis, statistical evaluation;
  • Writing manuscripts for peer-reviewed international journals;
  • Involvement in an European project;
  • Supervision of Master and Bachelor students.

What to bring:

  • Graduation and doctorate in animal science/agricultural science/veterinary medicine/biology (zoology) or comparable;
  • Knowledge about farmed animal physiology, nutrition or feed science and hands-on experience in insect biology or poultry science;
  • Practical experience in laboratory analysis;
  • Experience in statistical data analysis, as well as in preparing scientific publications and reports;
  • Very good publication record/Initial experience in acquiring third-party funding;
  • National and international networking in the field of farm animal physiology and nutrition;
  • Commitment and team spirit.
