The research project focuses on the solvent-free manufacturing of battery electrodes to improve the ecological footprint of lithium-ion batteries. You will perform microstructural characterization of dry coated electrodes using physical and machine learning based methods and the electrochemical assessment of the electrodes in battery cells.
We are seeking a highly motivated team player who thrives in a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment. You should be ready to work independently and contribute to a vibrant international research community starting in October 2025. The ideal candidate possesses a PhD in materials science, physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related fields. Prior experience in battery research and proficiency in Python programming is an advantage, but not a requirement.
