The successful candidate will be responsible for the pharmaceutical technology curriculum in the degree programs Staatsexamen and Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies. The position has a teaching load of four hours per week prior to interim evaluation, and six hours thereafter. Independent research activities in the field of pharmaceutical technology are expected. The focus of the candidate’s scientific work on should be application-oriented basic research in a current research area of pharmaceutical technology or related areas, preferably in the field of dosage form development. A willingness to cooperate with the research groups in pharmacy and biochemistry as well as the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tübingen within the framework of the University's research priorities, research networks and excellence formats (e.g. TüCADD, iFIT, CMFI, NCT-SW) and in particular in the area of translational research at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy is expected.
Required qualifications include an outstanding doctoral thesis in a pharmaceutical technology or related fields, recognizable potential for internationally visible publications in leading international journals, third-party funding and teaching experience. A license to practice as a pharmacist (Approbation) is desirable. Participation in the academic self-administration of the university and in the committees of the Faculty of Sciences is required. The appointment prerequisites of § 51 LHG apply.
