Duties/responsibilities:
- Development of a fitness landscape model for Fabry Disease;
- Quantitative estimation of fitness based on genetic variants;
- Finding imaging-biomarkers that correlate with fitness in Fabry Disease;
- Integration of phenotyping data from automated image analysis;
- Connecting the fitness proxies to theoretical models of fitness landscapes.
Qualifications:
- A PhD in biology, mathematics, computer science, physics, or comparable (required);
- Experience in computational biology (preferably genomic data handling and image analysis);
- Programming skills in python, julia, R or similar;
- Strong communication skills and interest in interdisciplinary work;
- Knowledge about the theoretical models of fitness landscapes and their analysis (beneficial).
