Postdoc Position at the Center for Computational and Theoretical Biology

Duties/responsibilities:

  • Development of a fitness landscape model for Fabry Disease;
  • Quantitative estimation of fitness based on genetic variants;
  • Finding imaging-biomarkers that correlate with fitness in Fabry Disease;
  • Integration of phenotyping data from automated image analysis;
  • Connecting the fitness proxies to theoretical models of fitness landscapes.

Qualifications:

  • A PhD in biology, mathematics, computer science, physics, or comparable (required);
  • Experience in computational biology (preferably genomic data handling and image analysis);
  • Programming skills in python, julia, R or similar;
  • Strong communication skills and interest in interdisciplinary work;
  • Knowledge about the theoretical models of fitness landscapes and their analysis (beneficial).
