How will you contribute?
We are looking for a highly motivated Research Engineer to support the BeProAct, Twin4Resilience, and SafeHire projects. These projects involve close collaboration with European public institutions and private entities to develop innovative solutions with real-world applications.
This role is ideal for someone with strong software development and prototyping skills who can build proofs of concept and interactive dashboards to support research in predictive maintenance and other applications. The key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Developing software prototypes and proofs of concept to validate research ideas in real-world settings;
- Creating interactive dashboards and visualization tools to support decision-making;
- Building and integrating APIs and backend services for prototypes;
- Collaborating with public and private partners to ensure solutions meet practical needs;
- Working with close collaboration with researchers and cybersecurity experts;
- Deploying and testing prototypes in cloud or on-premise environments as needed;
- Documenting and presenting research findings through reports and demonstrations;
- Staying up to date with emerging technologies in software development, cybersecurity, and visualization.

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
- Experience in software development and prototyping (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar);
- Knowledge of dashboard development and visualization tools (e.g., Streamlit, Dash, Plotly, Tableau);
- Basic understanding of backend development and API integration (e.g., Flask, FastAPI, Node.js);
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for prototype deployment;
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices;
- Ability to work in a research-driven, fast-paced environment;
- Strong written and spoken English skills. Knowledge of French is an advantage.
