You will contribute to the development and implementation of novel methods and technologies for genome, transcriptome and epigenome analysis, both in bulk and at single-cell resolution, across a range of research applications. These projects will be conducted in close collaboration with NGI Uppsala, providing access to state-of-the-art technologies and instrumentation for high-throughput genome analysis. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the Molecular Precision Medicine research group at the Department of Medical Sciences, engaging in translational genomics research with clinical relevance.
The role includes designing and performing wet-lab experiments, as well as handling bioinformatics tasks such such as running analysis pipelines, performing quality control, and conducting downstream data analyses. You are expected to actively contribute to method development, validation, and documentation; publish results in peer-reviewed journals; and present your work at international conferences and scientific meetings. The position offers opportunities for professional development through participation in relevant courses and training, as well as through national and international collaborations with researchers, other core facilities, and industry partners.
