(Senior/Principal) Scientist - Formulation and Drug Delivery

Duties and responsibilities

• Lead scientific projects in the area of advanced formulation and drug delivery as subject matter expert;
• Develop and optimize innovative formulations;
• Design formulation and manufacturing processes using Quality by Design (QbD) principles;
• Proactively engage with the scientific community and stay up to date with recent developments in drug delivery;
• Write scientific publications and funding proposals;
• Actively exchange with clients during ongoing projects and in the context of acquiring new ones.

Requirements

• A technical or natural science Master´s degree and a PhD, with 2 – 5 years research experience in a relevant field;
• Experience in the formulation of oral solid dosage forms, particularly in the area of coating;
• Experience with formulation and manufacturing of biologics (proteins, peptides, monoclonal antibodies, oligonucleotides) of great advantage;
• Knowledge of spray drying processes;
• Experience with material characterization and analytical techniques;
• Proven track record in conducting research projects;
• Professional conduct and strong communication skills when interacting with international clients, partners, and colleagues;
• Detail-oriented, data-driven and a strong team player;
• Interest in and experience with top-level, goal-oriented research at the interface of basic science and industrial application.
