Sensory processing difficulties are common in clinical conditions such as autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD). However, the neural mechanism behind this impairment is not fully understood and a direct measure of these difficulties in unavailable. We are looking for a candidate that will investigate the mechanism behind sensory processing disorders in neurodevelopmental disorders using neural engineering methods with the perspective of translating the obtained results into digital health solutions. Sensory processing anomalies will be investigated in adults and children through recording and analysis of non-invasive measurements of neural activity(EEG) and/or psychophysical assessment. Advanced signal analysis, including e.g. machine learning techniques, should be used for the assessment and evaluation of the obtained information.
Candidates who have relevant teaching experience and are fluent in Danish will be preferred.
