Postdoc in Power Electronics for Port Electrification and Flexibility

Research Focus
The selected candidate will advance research in power electronics for port electrification and flexibility, with a particular focus on:
- Power electronic converters for shore-side power supply and port energy infrastructure.
- High-efficiency conversion systems for port electrification and hybrid energy hubs.
- Control and optimization of power electronics for flexible port energy systems.
- Modeling, simulation, and experimental validation of port power conversion and electrification solutions.
- Integration of port electrification with energy storage, Power-to-X(PtX) solutions, and grid-supportive services.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field, and demonstrate expertise in some of the following areas:
- Proven research experience in modeling and control of power electronic converters, and grid integration.
- Experience with hardware development and experimental testing of power electronic converters.
- Knowledge of shore power systems and grid integration challenges.
- A strong track record of peer-reviewed publications in high-impact international journals.
- Strong English communication skills.
Qualification requirements
Appointment as Postdoc presupposes scientific qualifications at PhD level or similar scientific qualifications. The research potential of each applicant will be emphasized in the overall assessment. Appointment as a Postdoc cannot exceed a period of four years in total at Aalborg University.
