Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform interactive analysis of Seismic, Hydroacoustic and Infrasound (SHI) data to detect, locate and characterize events as required;
• Review the work of the Waveform Associate Analysts and provide feedback to ensure adherence to the procedure and standards and that the appropriate level of quality is maintained;
• Coordinate the work of Waveform Associate Analysts to ensure timely issuance of all reviewed SHI products;
• Provide related training to new Waveform Associate Analysts team members and to trainees from States Signatories as required;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• University degree in geophysical science or a related field.

Work Experience and Qualifications

• At least five (5) years of relevant working experience in global or regional seismic, hydroacoustic and/or infrasound data analysis;
• Solid knowledge of current interactive computer analysis systems;
• Proven ability to plan and organize the work of others, and to meet tight deadlines;
• Excellent command of written and spoken English is required. Working knowledge of other official CTBTO languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is desirable.

Languages

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential;
• Knowledge of other official CTBTO languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is desirable.
