Mission
Our group undertakes research on the development, optimization, preclinical and clinical assessment of diagnostic and therapeutic applications of light.
Main duties and responsibilities
The project consists of developing a novel approach to treat various diseases by photobiomodulation therapy. The main goals of the activity of the successful candidate will be to optimize the radiometric and spectral protocols, and to study the mechanisms of this approach.
Profile
- PhD in (bio)physics;
- Good knowledge in experimental biomedical optics;
- Background in signal acquisition/analysis and instrument control (LabVIEW);
- Experience in experimental methods used to assess the metabolic activity in vitro and/or in vivo;
- Good knowledge in mechanistic concepts related to the field of biomedical optics and metabolism;
- Affinity for practical work with biological samples;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. French is an asset;
- Good team spirit;
- Open minded and creative.
