Postdoctoral Position in the Immunobiology and Therapy Unit

Institut Pasteur

Paris, France

A postdoctoral position is available in the “Immunobiology and Therapy” Unit headed by Professor Caroline Demangel at the Department of Immunology, Institut Pasteur, Paris, France.

Project

Our lab is interested in host-microbe interactions and their role in genesis of human diseases. A postdoctoral opportunity is available to develop mRNA vaccines against key mycobacterial pathogens, using an innovative pipeline including advanced immunopeptidomics and lipid nanoparticles. The researcher will contribute to the selection of antigens to be encoded, and the evaluation of immunogenicity and protective efficacy of vaccine candidates in established cell and mouse models of infection.

The position is available immediately. Research will be conducted at Institut Pasteur in the center of Paris, which contains state of-the-art facilities and a highly collaborative research environment. It is part of a H2020-funded project involving academic and private partners with complementary expertise in proteomics, infection biology, vaccine design and evaluation. Joining this initiative will provide the researcher with a unique opportunity to gain expertise in mRNA vaccines and build an international network of collaborators in this cutting-edge field.

Profile

Candidates should have a solid background in immunology in an infectious context, and skills in flow cytometry and mouse experimentation. An experience of bacterial pathogens will be a plus.
