The professorship is associated with the management of the newly founded Reproductive Medicine and Gynecological Endocrinology Section in the Clinic for Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine at the JUH.
The person to be appointed should represent the subject within research, teaching and healthcare. The scientific focus should be in the field of embryo-maternal interaction and women's health. The aim is to strengthen the research of the Faculty of Medicine (sepsis and infection medicine, ageing and age-associated diseases, medical optics and photonics) and the cross-sectional area of oncology (Cancer Center Central Germany (CCCG); fertility protection) as well as the BMBF Young Investigator Center for Reproductive Medicine (CEPRE) at the JUH.
The requirements for appointment are a University degree in human medicine, specialist in gynecology and obstetrics (Facharztanerkennung) and the focus on gynecological endocrinology and reproductive medicine. What is expected is suitability for university didactics, a special ability to carry out academic work, which is usually demonstrated by a qualified doctorate, as well as a habilitation or equivalent academic achievements. Experience in the further development of a university fertility center is desirable.
The candidate should have outstanding research achievements, successful acquisition of third-party funded projects, commitment to teaching and excellent teaching skills must be demonstrated.
We are looking for a leadership personality with high social competence, a pronounced understanding of organization, sensitivity to economic concerns, and a willingness to further develop the university fertility center and to participate in the necessary processes of change at a university hospital.
