As a Lecturer in Medical Education (Research Methods) you will deliver research methods teaching to a multi-disciplinary group of clinical and non-clinical students undertaking postgraduate taught studies in a range of subjects across BSMS. You will also form part of a broader research supervision team that will mentor, support and examine research dissertations.
You may also contribute to the teaching and supervision of undergraduate medical students undertaking research projects and collaborate with colleagues across the department and the wider Medical School to support the design and delivery of relevant research projects.
Ideally qualified to doctoral level, you should have a strong background in a range of research methodologies with particular interest in quantitative research. You should also have experience in the design and delivery of postgraduate taught content in face to face, blended and online learning environments using innovative pedagogic approaches.
You will have the skills to manage your own workload and, at times, support other colleagues. You will communicate clearly with the team, line management, and all other stakeholders involved in the delivery of postgraduate taught courses across BSMS.
