A full-time academic position, indivisible position, in the field of « Computer Vision and Data Analysis for Sports Understanding » within the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) Department of the Faculty of Applied Sciences. This position includes teaching and research activities, as well as services to the community.
The new faculty member (M/F/X) will take part in the teaching activities in the following fields:
He/She will also participate in the supervision of internships and graduate work in his/her field of research.
The teaching load will be limited to 250 hours per year (including practical work and seminars).
The candidate will develop research in computer vision and its application to the analysis of sporting activities. This research will involve, e.g., around the acquisition of large volumes of data, the integration of heterogeneous data produced by multi-sensor or multimodal systems, their real-timeprocessing, and the automatic interpretation according to the application context and human-computer interactions.
The candidate is expected to collaborate with other researchers active in the field of scientific supervision of sporting activities (in particular within the Faculty of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine), as well as with Walloon and international companies active in this sector.
