Position
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on an innovative project focused on restoring sound perception using soft auditory brain implants.
Sponsored by the SNSF-NSF lead program, the project offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in implantable neurotechnology, behavioral research, and electrophysiology, with significant translational potential in auditory neuroscience.
This project continues over a decade of collaboration with Dan Lee’s group at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and Harvard Medical School (MEE-Harvard) in Boston.
The candidate will join a team of researchers from the LSBI who is developing innovative soft miniaturized neural implants and will work closely with the team in Boston to design and conduct in vivo evaluation of the neuroprosthetic technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design of the implantable recording and neuromodulation devices.
- Design and implement behavioral tasks to assess and enhance sound perception restoration through soft auditory brain implants.
- Conduct advanced electrophysiological recordings and analyses.
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects combining bioelectronics, and auditory neuroscience.
Qualifications
- PhD in Neuroscience, Neural Engineering, or related field.
- Strong background in electrophysiology, and/or behavioral research.
