The University of Nottingham is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Anatomy for the University of Nottingham Medical School at Derby, based at Royal Derby Hospital.
This role would suit someone who is enthusiastic about using innovative digital learning technologies for anatomy education. You will work directly with the Anatomy Lead to deliver a consistently excellent standard of anatomy teaching, with a particular emphasis on musculoskeletal anatomy and neuroanatomy. You will convene modules on our undergraduate programmes, supervise undergraduate projects and contribute to assessment processes. You will provide a consistently excellent standard of teaching and support for student learning that is underpinned by scholarship related to the discipline. Please note: this is a teaching-focused role and prospective candidates should have extensive prior experience in teaching clinically relevant human anatomy to undergraduate students.
You must have a PhD in human anatomy or a related subject area, or the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience. You will also be required to demonstrate experience of effective negotiating, problem-solving, teamwork and pastoral support.
You will have a high-level analytical capability to facilitate conceptual thinking, innovation, and creativity.
