APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: August 20th 2022
Human Technopole (HT) is a new interdisciplinary life science research institute, created and supported by the Italian Government, with the aim of developing innovative strategies to improve human health. HT is composed of five Centres: Computational Biology, Structural Biology, Genomics, Neurogenomics and Health Data Science. The Centres work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment that will help promote life science research both nationally and internationally.
The Bienko Group at HT (https://humantechnopole.it/en/news/introducing-magda-bienko/) focuses on understanding the fundamental principles that regulate how chromatin is spatially organized in the nucleus of mammalian cells and how the three-dimentional (3D) organization of the genome is affected by alterations in its sequence, such as those commonly encountered in human cancers.
The group is now inviting outstanding candidates with an excellent background in molecular biology/biotechnology and proven track record in various laboratory techniques to apply for a position as Technician or Senior Technician depending on the candidate’s level of experience.
The successful candidate will be embedded in a multi-cultural and interdisciplinary team and take part in the lab’s efforts in engineering cells with rewired karyotypes, studying the effects of karyotypic changes on genome architecture and gene expression, and developing new methods to study the 3D genome in single cells.
Please apply by sending a CV and a 1-page motivation letter in English only through the dedicated area below (Apply now) and the name and contact details of at least 2 potential referees. In the motivation letter, please emphasize your prior lab work and how you think you can contribute to the success of the Bienko Group and Human Technopole.
For specific enquires concerning the role only, please contact Magda Bienko, Group Leader: magda.bienko@humantechnopole1.recruitee.com.
