Faculty Position in Clinical Communication

The position:

The University of Nicosia Medical School is seeking to recruit a highly motivated faculty member with relevant academic qualifications and teaching experience in Clinical Communication to join the Clinical Communication Team. The successful applicant will have current knowledge of clinical communication and the theories underpinning effective communication in health care settings, as well as enthusiasm and commitment to student-centred learning. Interested candidates can apply for the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor.

Qualifications required:

  • PhD (in a related field);
  • Teaching experience;
  • Research experience;
  • Publication record.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach and assess in the area of Clinical Communication in department programmes;
  • Perform research and publish in the areas of interest;
  • Perform administrative duties;
  • Contribute to the Community outreach activities of the School.

  • A one-page research statement describing previous and current research as well as future plans;
  • A one-page description of teaching experience;
  • Two references.

The ideal candidate should be eligible to work in the European Union/European Economic Area.
