The applicant will provide statistical expertise (planning and design of experiments, data analysis and interpretation of results) to researchers of all disciplines at the FBN.
Own research is expected to cover specific questions arising from counselling as well as significant contributions to statistical projects initiated by the Institute of Genetics and Biometry.
Equal shares of the total working hours will be devoted to each of both tasks.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated and has earned a PhD/doctoral degree in Biostatistics or Mathematics or comparable. The ability to tune in to the needs of a broad variety of researchers from different fields and research topics is mandatory. We further expect strong engagement in application for third-party grants and steady publication of research findings. Working languages are German and English.
