We are looking for a young, aspiring and scientifically outstanding personality who will complement and expand the existing expertise at the Institute of Physics in the field of surface and interface science, and be responsible for teaching the subject of experimental physics.
The core research areas of the future post holder should be in an experimental field of surface and interface physics. Close cooperation with the members of the Surface Science group in Graz within one of the existing research fields (ultrathin molecular and oxide films, photoemission tomography, model catalysis, solid-liquid interfaces) is preferable. Existing state-of-the-art surface science equipment can be jointly used.
The teaching duties of the successful candidate will include teaching the basics of experimental physics and research-oriented special topics in bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programmes, as well as supervising and co-supervising bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral theses.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, aiming for academic excellence and integrity in research and teaching. He/she will have demonstrated ability to collaborate constructively in a responsible manner and inspire colleagues and students in an interdisciplinary, internationally oriented context.
